Procedure for Starting Cooperation
Since I establish cooperation with clients online, it is important to go through the whole process smoothly so that there are no misunderstandings later, both in the practical implementation of individual activities during the data migration, as well as in the fulfillment of formalities that belong to each contract between the contracting parties.
Three basic steps:
1. First contact
Please contact me and I will verify a few details about the project scope and timeline from the project plan.
2. Availability check
Once I know a rough timeframe, I will check my availability during the required period.
3. Business requirement meeting
If both previous steps are ok, we have the conditions for scheduling a Business Requirements meeting. In a two-hour online meeting, we will gather all the organizational details to create a plan for the Data Transformation Workshop.
All the details are in the “Data Transformation Roadmap” document – I will send it by email when you confirm your interest in my data transformation support.
Data Transformation Workshop
A Data Transformation Workshop will be held to identify relevant background information for the data transformation. During the workshop, Data Discovery and Field to Field Mapping will be performed – the outputs are captured in a Data Transformation Blueprint.
Documentation
The central document on which the data transformation is based is the Data Transformation Blueprint. Together with the Mapping Workbook, it forms the basis for a successful data transformation. Both documents are created during the Analysis – Data Transformation Workshop.
Your Data
Data Sharing for Transformation
If we collaborate on-lie, two ways can be used to share data by mutual agreement:
- you put the data in your own storage and give me secure access
- we use my own data storage physically located in my office and I provide secure access to it to your delegated person.
I never store client data in public cloud storage (Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive, etc.).
Data Processing Agreement
I will transform the data into the target format only on the basis of our mutual written agreement, which is part of the data transformation project.
Ways of Cooperation
On-Site
On-site collaboration is possible and provides the highest efficiency in data transformation. If we agree on travel and accommodation, you can expect high performance with maximum security of your data.
On-Line
Online collaboration offers high flexibility to both parties. Modern communication and collaboration tools allow sufficient progress in all phases of implementation.
Personally, I prefer on-site collaboration – especially for Data Migration Workshop. Given this preference and the pandemic reality we are in, I am vaccinated against COVID-19.
